[origin: EP1887658A2] The electrical contact clip (1), for a cable, has a housing and a spring (5) with a clamping leg (9) and a holding leg (8), to form a wire clamping point (6) between a clamping edge (13) of the clamping leg and a contact surface (10). The spring support is a swivel mounting to support the clamping leg on a swing movement at the connection zone (17) for the insertion of the electrical wire. A further support (12) prevents the clamped wire from being pulled free.
