Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2007095875A1] The invention relates to a separation method, in particular a method for distilling ethanol as a final product from a mash. According to said method, the feed stream is fed to a first distillation stage comprising at least one distillation column (stripper) and the distillate from said first distillation stage is fed to a second distillation column (rectifier). The feed stream is sub-divided into two streams (40, 41) and fed to two distillation columns (1, 2), in such a way that the rectifier (5) maintains a predefined energy balance.
