[origin: WO2006120242A2] Disclosed is a filter device, especially for filtering liquids in internal combustion engines, comprising a filter element that is to be penetrated in a radial direction and is disposed in a filter housing. An overflow valve is arranged between the raw side and the pure side of the filter element and is displaced into an open position in case the pressure of the liquid exceeds a threshold value on the raw side of the filter element. The valve member of the overflow valve is embodied as a sealing tube.
