[origin: DE102005020468A1] The machine holding-down clamp (4) comprises bearing elements which are mounted on the bars in such a way that they are height-adjustable. The bearing elements support the holding-down clamp frame (5). The holding-down clamp plates are guided in the holding-down clamp frame in such a way that they are displaceable in the length direction. The holding-down clamp plates comprise slit-shaped spaces which are larger than the width of the central post at least in the area thereof in such a way that the central post can be placed between the plates. An independent claim is also included for the method for operation of the machine stand.
