[origin: WO2006118444A1] The invention relates to a lock assembly comprising: a lock case to be placed on or in a leaf such as a door or window, and having at least one latch, an operating device placed in the lock case for making the at least one latch operable, a first transmitting/receiving device placed in the lock case for wireless exchange of digital data with a second transmitting/receiving device outside the lock case, for wireless reception of a release signal by means of said exchange, and in response thereto activating the operating device, and its own independent energy supply placed in the lock case for supplying electric power to the first transmitting/receiving device and the operating device, wherein the energy supply comprises a battery and/or a generator, and a release unit, separate from the lock case, provided with the second transmitting/receiving device for transmitting the release signal to the first transmitting/receiving device.
