[origin: DE202005008582U1] The roller chain has pins (1), sleeves (2), rollers (3), and inner and outer plates (4,5). The pins are of austenitic stainless steel, and have a surface coating formed by an S-phase of the steel generated by a nitrifying process. The sleeves are of sintered material with oil-filled pores, or of the same stainless steel with the same surface coating. Inner and/or outer plates are also of austenitic stainless steel with a similarly generated surface coating.
