The invention is characterized in that such a device comprises means for archiving at least one of said objects including: means for obtaining at least one specific reference to said at least one object; means for associating with said at least one reference at least one archiving location of said at least one object; means for characterizing a plurality of descriptive attributes associated with said at least one object; means for indexing said object enabling at least one of said attributes, called indexing attribute, to be selected; means for storing for each archived object an n-uplet of data including said at least one reference of said object, said at least one location information and said at least one indexing attribute of said object.
