Control station for a printing machine comprises at least one color-connecting monitor (12) for visualizing at least one soft proof serving as a color reference for a printing copy (11), and at least one standard light source (13) for at least partial illumination of the control station that generates a changeable light intensity so that the light intensity produced is matched to a brightness achieved with the monitor and/or a contrast in the visualization of the soft proof achieved with the monitor. Preferred Features: The light intensity and the number of standard light sources are changeable. At least one cover/screen (15) arranged between the standard light source and the monitor is used to adjust the incidence of standard light on the monitor.

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Leitstand einer Druckmaschine, mit mindestens einem farbverbindlichen Monitor (12) zur Visualisierung mindestens eines als farbliche Referenz für in einem Druckprozess gedruckte Druckexemplare dienenden Softproofs, und mit mindestens einer Normlichtquelle (13) zur zumindest partiellen Ausleuchtung des Leitstands, um einen von einer Raumbeleuchtung unabhängigen visuellen Vergleich zwischen gedruckten Druckexemplaren und dem als farbliche Referenz dienenden Softproof zu ermöglichen. Erfindungsgemäß ist eine von der oder jeder Normlichtquelle (13) erzeugte Leuchtstärke bzw. Leuchtintensität veränderbar, um so die von der oder jeder Normlichtquelle (13) erzeugte Leuchtstärke bzw. Leuchtintensität an eine mit dem oder jedem farbverbindlichen Monitor erzielbare Helligkeit und/oder einen mit dem oder jedem farbverbindlichen Monitor (12) erzielbaren Kontrast in der Visualisierung des Softproofs anzupassen.
