[origin: WO2006131480A1] The invention relates to a method for preforming oxidation catalysts consisting in heating a catalyst precursor in an air-containing atmosphere whose air quantity ranges from 0,05 to 4,0 Nm<SUP>3</SUP>/h at a temperature equal to or higher than 350 °C and in activating said catalyst precursor at least for 9 hours at a temperature equal to or higher than 350 °C.
