[origin: CA2611677A1] The invention relates to a method for producing a toothed section from a densified sintered material and to such a toothed section. The inventive method is characterized by densifying, using iteratively acquired data, a predensified tooth blank at least in one area to its final shape, thereby improving the roughness in the area by at least 400 % as compared to the blank, and adjusting a surface hardness of at least 130 BHN.
