[origin: WO2006128824A1] The invention relates to novel 5-hydroxypyrazolines of formula (I) wherein the substituents have the following designations: B represents phenyl, naphthyl or 5-membered or 6-membered hetaryl containing between one and four heteroatoms from the group comprising O, N or S; A represents C=O, C=S or SO2; W represents CX<SUP>1</SUP>X<SUP>2</SUP>; X<SUP>1</SUP>, X<SUP>2</SUP> represent hydrogen, fluorine, chlorine, or bromine; R<SUP>1</SUP> represents alkyl, halogenalkyl, alkenyl, halogenalkenyl, alkinyl or halogenalkinyl, cycloalkyl, cycloalkenyl, cycloalkinyl, phenyl, 5-membered or 6-membered heterocyclyl or hetaryl containing between one and four heteroatoms from the group comprising O, N or S; R<SUP>2</SUP> represents hydrogen or alkyl; R<SUP>3</SUP> represents hydrogen, nitro, cyano, alkyl, halogenalkyl, alkoxy, halogenalkoxy, alkenyl, halogenalkenyl, alkinyl, halogenalkinyl or NR'<SUB>2</SUB>, wherein R' represents hydrogen or alkyl; and R<SUP>4</SUP> represents hydrogen, halogen, nitro, cyano, NR'<SUB>2</SUB>, alkyl, halogenalkyl, COOR' or 5-membered or 6-membered hetaryl or heterocyclyl.
