[origin: WO2006131410A1] Information about the combustion chamber pressure in the combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine is required for efficient and low-pollutant engine control. An integrated combustion chamber pressure sensor is therefore proposed in the form of a sheathed-element glow plug (110) for a compression-ignition internal combustion engine. The sheathed-element glow plug (110) has a heating body (112) and a plug housing (116). Furthermore, the sheathed-element glow plug (110) has at least one force-measuring film element (126), the at least one force-measuring film element (126) being connected to the heating body (112) in such a way that a force (124) can be transmitted to the at least one force-measuring film element (126) via the heating body (112). In particular, the at least one force-measuring film element (126) can have at least one piezoelectric film (134), for example a piezoelectric film (134) made from highly polarized polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF).
