Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2006134251A1] The invention concerns an electrical cable (1) provided with a sheath (2) comprising an external marking. The marking consists of a block (3) of two patterns (4, 5), the two patterns being consecutive in the length of the cable, said block being repeated at least twice in the length of the cable from the free end (12) of the cable. The invention also concerns a method for crimping a contact (7) on such a cable, the external marking of the cable enabling the position of the cable in the core to be identified thus ensuring that the subsequent crimping will be of good quality.
