[origin: EP1891863A1] A frozen confection is provided, comprising (by weight of the confection) ¢ less than 9 wt% total sugars; ¢ maltitol, xylitol or mixtures thereof in a total amount of from 2 to 15 wt%; ¢ from 5 to 25 wt% digestible complex saccharides; ¢ from 1 to 15 wt% non-digestible complex saccharides; and intense sweeteners in a total amount C T given by the following condition: C T < X / R , wherein X is 2.0 wt% and R is the sweetness of the intense sweeteners relative to sucrose expressed on a weight basis.
