Abstract (en)
The present invention relates to folded planar monopole antenna (1) for transmitting and receiving signals in a wireless communication device, wherein said antenna (1) comprising first and second monopole antenna elements (50, 60) arranged in planar configuration and adapted to be coupled to a transceiver circuit of said wireless device, said first monopole antenna element (50) comprising a long and folded first antenna section (52) which is connected to a folded second antenna section (54) having a zigzag, saw-tooth like structure, said second monopole antenna element (60) having a substantially linear structure and extending between said folded first and second antenna sections (52, 54) of the first monopole antenna element (50).
