Abstract (en)

[origin: DE102005028711A1] In a process to regulate the operation of a continuous metal casting assembly, discharge is to a chain of roller segments, each with a movable upper frame (4) with overhead rollers and a lower frame with lower rollers. The upper frame angle is adjusted as required with respect to the lower frame by hydraulic jacks. The between the input and output dimensions, and the jacking heights (20, 21), is calculated by an algorithm. The roller segment input width (EN) is greater than that of the output (EX). The angular relationship is determined by determining the position of contact points (50) on each side.
