[origin: EP1894723A2] The press has an impression cylinder (1), where printing blankets are arranged axially in parallel to the cylinder. A gap (10a), which runs in a circumferential direction is formed between the blankets. The gaps are displaced axially to each other, in such a manner that the gap (10a) rolls up on the blankets of the cylinder (2) and the gap (10b) rolls up on the blankets of the cylinder (1).
