[origin: WO2007137712A1] The invention relates to a strand guide installation (100) for guiding a metal strip (200), especially a slab. Said strand guide installation (100) comprises a segmented frame with at least one cross member (112-1, 112+1) which are arranged in parallel to each other and stationarily in the direction of the width of the metal strip (200). A guide element (112-0) is received in parallel to the cross member and perpendicular to the plane of the metal strip so as to be vertically displaceable or oscillatable. According to the invention, the guide element (112-0) and the measuring roller (120) can be received so as to be vertically displaceable and supported on the stationary cross member (112-1, 112+1) by means of guide bars (130) in an especially simple manner.
