Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2007000515A1] The invention relates to a hollow U-shaped section and a module for the rapid assembly of pieces of timber, which is particularly suitable for the construction of building structures or frames. The inventive U-section comprises a bridge and two lateral flanges. The section is characterised in that the thickness of the lateral flanges and the bridge is between 2 and 4 mm and the ratio of the length of the lateral flanges to the length of the bridge is greater than 1.25. The above-mentioned module comprises an arrangement of several hollow sections which are assembled to one another, including at least one of the aforementioned hollow sections. The hollow section production method comprises at least one step consisting in cutting a hollow section having a rectangular cross-section.
