[origin: WO2006131426A1] The invention relates to a fuel injection system for an internal combustion engine. Said fuel injection system comprises a high-pressure accumulator chamber (10) with a plurality of connecting bores (24) for discharging fuel from or for supplying fuel to the high-pressure accumulator chamber (10). High-pressure feed lines leading to the fuel injectors or a supply line from a high-pressure source are connected to these bores via connecting pieces (18). Every high-pressure feed line leading to the fuel injectors is associated with a throttle element support (50) which comprises a one- or multi-stage throttle element (28, 40). The throttle elements (40) are configured as press-fit throttles the throttle element supports (50) of which comprise a filter element (44) facing the fuel accumulator chamber (10).
