[origin: WO2006111151A1] The invention relates to a rod-shaped heat radiator comprising a source of illumination (2), an housing (3), and a reflector (4). The housing for the source of illumination is formed from a glass cover which covers the entire length of the source of illumination, surrounds the source of illumination on all sides, and is provided with a radiation discharge area on the front face, a reflector area on the rear face, and a lens-shaped, convex bulge on the front face and/or the rear face, said bulge being composed of a convex lens (6, 7). The reflected beams are focused in a linear focus while a hollow space in which the source of illumination is embodied in the shape of a rod, a strip, or as a helix is provided between the radiation discharge area and the reflector. The reflective layer is integrated with the rear face of the heat radiator. The invention further relates to a multizone radiator which encompasses at least three heat radiators and in which the radiation fields partially overlap.
