The wiping cover (1) for a cleaning appliance has a textile cloth (2) which is equipped with press-on components (4) which can be brought into engagement with the textile cloth so that a point-form pressing-on of the cleaning side (3) of the textile cloth onto the floor which is to cleaned is produced. The press-on components are formed dimensionally stable. The textile cloth is formed with multiple layers, with at least one layer consisting of foam.
