[origin: EP1897844A2] The load holder (11) has a load holding unit (26) arranged on a cross beam (24), where the load holding unit is movably provided for adjustment to a load point at an object to be raised along the cross beam. The load holding unit is limited by a lifting safety device and is guidable from and into a secured load holding position. Multiple retaining units (37) are provided at a lower surface of the cross beam, and form a load securing area (36), where the retaining units are arranged in a spaced manner to each other.
