Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Behandeln von Fettstoffen mit Kieselgel und Wasserstoffperoxid, wobei bei dem Verfahren eine Erniedrigung des pH-Wertes des Fettstoffes erfolgt, und wobei dieses Verfahren den Vorteil hat, dass sowohl unerwünscht hohe pH-Werte der Fettstoffe erniedrigt werden, als auch dass eine Bleichwirkung erreicht werden kann.
