Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1898008A1] A method for removeably fitting a flow control regulator (5) into a plumbing outlet (2) has a cartridge design fitted directly into the outlet and secured by a screw thread. The cartridge locates into the bottom of the outlet bore and has an inlet aperture matching the outlet aperture of the plumbing fitting. This eliminates trapped spaces where debris and impurities could collect. An alternate design has a press fit sleeve inserted into the plumbing outlet to form a grip into which the cartridge is fitted. The cartridge is fitted and removed using conventional tools.
