Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1898368A2] The cash box (1) has a coin inlet (4) staying in connection with a discharge opening of a coin validator. A return opening (5) returns intermediate stored coins, and a connecting opening (6) supplies coins into a hopper (2). A distribution device is controlled by a controller to convey the coins, fed through the coin inlet based on a stop signal or an enable signal, either to the return opening or the connecting opening. An independent claim is also included for a method for handling coins.
