[origin: EP1898496A1] The metallic contact element (1) has a contacting section (2) and a fixing section for connecting with a printed circuit board (16). The fixing section has two flexible shanks (5, 6) of different lengths, which extend parallel to each other in a direction away from the contacting section. The longer shank (5) is formed such that, under compressive load. The shorter shank (6) of the overlapping end section (10) bends in the direction of the contacting section. The longer shank bends away from the shorter shank and the shorter shank with its end section bends away from the longer shank.
