Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1898671A2] The method involves detecting a genetic feature (1) i.e. mutation gene, for a hearing aid support and transmitting the genetic feature to a hearing aid adapting device (3). An adaptable parameter of a hearing aid (9) is adapted in dependence of the detected genetic feature of the hearing aid support by assigning an instruction for adapting the adaptable parameter of the hearing aid to the genetic feature through the hearing aid adapting device and by a digital signal processing device of the hearing aid for individual adaptation of the hearing aid to the hearing aid support. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an arrangement for implementing a method for adapting a hearing aid (2) a hearing aid system comprising a signal processing device.
