[origin: WO2006125783A1] The invention concerns a method for mounting a safety line cable on a tensioning device, which consists in crimping part of the cable in a sleeve (11) formed by the tensioning device. The invention is characterized in that it includes the following steps: passing the cable through the sleeve (11); maintaining the cable stretched by its end emerging from the sleeve (11); crimping the cable in the sleeve (11). The invention also concerns a tensioning device for a safety line for implementing said method. The invention is applicable to safety installations for personnel operating in dangerous conditions.
