[origin: WO2006131527A1] A method of producing a sealed wrapping (2) about a product (3), whereby a sheet (4) of impermeable packing material is folded into a U about the product (3), so that respective pairs of portions (25, 26) project from the free sides of the product (3); the sheet (4) is sealed about the product (3) by pressing the portions (25, 26) in each pair against each other to form a relative wall (6, 7) of the sealed wrapping (2), and a relative flap (30, 35) which projects transversely from the wall (6, 7) and defines a seal of the wall (6, 7); and the sealed wrapping (2) is completed by folding and sealing each flap (30, 35) onto the relative wall (6, 7).
