Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2006123039A1] The invention relates to a device for screwing caps to containers. The inventive device comprises a rotating spindle (1) having a first end which is equipped with a cap (8)-gripping head and a second end which is connected to an engagement element (11). The aforementioned engagement element comprises two parts, namely: one part which is rotationally fixed to the second end of the rotating spindle, and one part which is rotationally fixed to a drive shaft (12) which is coaxial to the spindle and which is associated with a drive member (13, 2). The invention is characterised in that the aforementioned parts of the connecting member comprise a magnetic barrel (14) and a magnetic core (17) which is suitably dimensioned such that it can be inserted into the barrel. In addition, the device also comprises a member (18, 19, 20, 21) for moving the barrel and the core in relation to one another between a position in which the core is inserted inside the barrel and a position in which the core is retracted from the barrel.
