[origin: WO2006120060A1] The invention relates to a heated cylinder for heating a paper, cardboard, tissue or other fibrous web in a machine for manufacturing and/or finishing the former, having a cylinder shell (1) which is acted on at least partially from inside by a hot fluid. Here, the thermal resistance of the cylinder shell (1) is to be reduced by the fact that the inner surface of the cylinder shell (1) has elevations which increase the stability.
