[origin: WO2007000158A1] The invention relates to an electric switch for a motor vehicle, consisting of an actuating organ (2), which is pivotally mounted in a housing (3) and a switch plunger (7, 29, 30), which interacts both with the actuating organ (2) and a switch element (8, 25) that is positioned on a printed circuit board (4, 21), at least one additional switch element (9, 24) being situated on the opposite side (11) of the printed circuit board (4, 21) from the switch element (8, 25). According to the invention, the switch plunger (7, 29, 30) is configured as a switching fork (5, 6, 19, 20) and the latter (5, 6, 19, 20) surrounds the printed circuit board (4, 21) in such a way that said switching fork (5, 6, 19, 20) interacts with the first (8, 25) and the second (9, 24) switch element.
