Abstract (en)

The device for die-casting of non-ferrous-metal alloys for high elongations using cold chamber-method, comprises a casting chamber (2) in which a melt is supplyable, a casting piston (3b), a drive unit for the operation of the casting piston, and means for the ventilation of the casting chamber. The device is intended with an oscillation generator (6) by which the melt is shiftable in the casting chamber in oscillations. The means is activatable during the operation of the casting piston and is intended for the ventilation of an opening in a vertex of the casting chamber. The device for die-casting of non-ferrous-metal alloys for high elongations using cold chamber-method, comprises a casting chamber (2), in which a melt is supplyable, a casting piston (3b), a drive unit for the operation of the casting piston, and an unit for the ventilation of an opening in a vertex of the casting chamber. The device is intended with an oscillation generator (6) by which the melt is shiftable in the casting chamber with oscillations. The ventilation unit is activatable during the operation of the casting piston. The oscillation generator is formed for the production of oscillations with amplitude of 0.1-0.5 mm and a frequency of 40-200 Hz. The casting piston and the drive unit are formed in such a manner that the casting piston has a movement time (5 seconds) of point of starting time, at which the casting piston rests toward a mold in movement up to an end-time, in which the casting piston presses the melt into a hollow form cavity of the mold. The oscillation generator is connected to a piston rod, which is subjectable in the casting chamber for oscillating the melt by the oscillation generator in longitudinal direction. The oscillation generator is operatable in dependence of the remaining process parameters so that the melt is degassed by the oscillation. The opening has a diameter of 8-12 mm. A device for the production of a negative pressure, comprises a negative pressure container, a vacuum pump and a pump valve for controlling the ventilation of the casting chamber. The oscillation generator, the vacuum pump and/or the negative pressure container are laid out in such a manner that the time for the removal of gases from the chamber is 3 seconds per kg of melt. The negative pressure container has a negative pressure of 6600 Pa and a volume of 25-100 litres with an air chamber (14) over the melt of 2-8 litres. In a channel (12), a shut-off valve is attached between the casting chamber and the hollow form cavity. An independent claim is included for a method for die-casting of non-ferrous metal alloys for high elongations using cold chamber-method.
