The electrode supporting arm has an electrode holder provided at the front end with a profile (1). The cladded steel plates (2) are provided at a distance to each other and are connected with each other in circumferential direction of the profile. The profile has an electrically conducting outer wall. The profile forms a lower inclusion on the plates (4) cladded with the steel plates.

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft einen Elektrodenarm für Lichtbogenöfen mit einer an seinem vorderen Ende vorgesehenen Elektrodenaufnahme, der ein Profil (1) aufweist, welches Stahlplatten (3) umfasst, die an der Profilaußenseite mit elektrisch gut leitenden Platten (4) plattiert sind. Ein elektrisch gut leitender Elektrodentragarm, der im Bezug auf das Eigengewicht reduziert ist und zu verminderten Herstellungskosten erstellt werden kann, wird dadurch geschaffen, dass die plattierten Stahlplatten (2) in Umfangsrichtung des Profils (1) beabstandet zueinander vorgesehen und miteinander verbunden sind und unter Einbeziehung der elektrisch gut leitenden Platten (4) eine elektrisch leitende Außenwand ausgebildet ist.
