Abstract (en)

[origin: CA2612007A1] The invention relates to a method for controlling the operational mode of a cleaning device, in particular a high pressure cleaning device, wherein a pu mp (12) transports cleaning fluid by means of a pressure line (18) to a closeab le injection nozzle. A signal transmitter (26) is coupled to the pressure line, which produces control signals according to the pressure in the pressure lin e. The aim of the invention is to improve said method in such a manner that the cleaning device can be controlled in a constructively simple and reliable manner by the injection nozzle. According to the invention, a first control signal is provided by the signal transmitter by closing the injection nozzle and a second control signal is also provided by the signal transmitter by subsequently re-opening the injection nozzle, and the operational mode of th e cleaning device is controlled according to the duration of the time interval between both control signals. The invention also relates to a cleaning devic e, in particular a high pressure cleaning device which is used to carry out sai d method.
