Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2007006933A1] The invention relates to a device for the blast cleaning of foundry cores. The inventive device consists of: a shaft (1) comprising first compressed air inlet means (20) and pulsed air outlet means (25); an approach cylinder (3) which slides inside the shaft, under the action of the compressed air, between a retracted position and a working position in which a punch (5) is in contact with a workpiece; and striking means (50) which subject the punch to repeated impacts. The device also comprises: means (219) for sealing the air outlet means, which can inhibit the striking means as the approach cylinder moves from the retracted position to the working position thereof; and timing means (225) for opening the sealing means at the end of a pre-determined period of time following a determined event.
