Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2007006936A1] The invention relates to a device for the blast cleaning of foundry cores. The inventive device consists of: a shaft (1) comprising first compressed air inlet means (20) and pulsed air outlet means (25); an approach cylinder (3) which slides inside the shaft, under the action of the compressed air, between a retracted position and a working position in which a punch (5) is in contact with a workpiece; and striking means (50) which subject the punch to repeated impacts. The device also comprises: detection means (36, 38) for detecting the presence of a compressed air supply pressure which is greater than a pre-determined threshold when the approach cylinder is in the retracted position thereof and a punch is mounted to the approach cylinder, and inhibition means (225) for inhibiting the air inlet means when the supply pressure is not detected.
