[origin: WO2007007367A1] Described herein is an antitheft device to be installed on motorcycles, characterized in that it comprises: means for mechanical blocking of at least one element of the kinematic chain for transmission of motion to the wheel, thus preventing the motorcycle from being dragged away by an ill-intentioned person; and preferably further means for electronic immobilization of the engine designed to inhibit starting of the engine itself, when the means for mechanical blocking are in the operative position.
