[origin: WO2007003260A1] The invention relates to a pneumatic spring (1) for motor vehicles, essentially consisting of pneumatic-suspension bellows (2) that are composed of an elastomeric material, a pneumatic-spring piston (3) and a pneumatic-spring cover (4). According to the invention, at least the pneumatic-suspension bellows are fixed to the pneumatic-spring piston with the aid of an outer clamping ring (6) that surrounds the end region of the pneumatic-spring piston, the pneumatic-suspension bellows envelop the clamping ring in such a way that a pouch, which surrounds the clamping ring on three sides (the exterior, upper face and interior), is formed and the end region of the pneumatic-suspension bellows lies below the clamping ring, forming a thickened section or projection (10). The pneumatic-spring piston comprises concentric recesses for holding the clamping ring and the thickened section or projection.
