Abstract (en)
The invention concerns an apparatus for applying fluids such as adhesive, in particular hot melt adhesive, to a substrate which is movable relative to the apparatus, comprising a main body (12) and an application valve (22) for selectively interrupting or enabling the flow of fluid, wherein the main body (12) can be connected to a fluid source and has a slot-shaped nozzle opening (54) communicating with a distributor passage (14) and a plunger (16) which is arranged movably in the distributor passage (14) and by means of which the length of the distributor passage (14), which can be acted upon with fluid, is variable.
