[origin: EP1903589A2] The load-disconnecting safety switch has a fixed contact part firmly arranged on the switch, which contacts a contact knife. A hollow arcing chamber (9) is provided, whose inner space is divided into three partial chambers. The arcing chamber is arranged in switch opening direction, over each of the fixed contact parts in a connecting-phase of the load-disconnecting safety switch. The three partial chambers have grooves (8,10) in one of their outer walls.
