Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1903835A2] The hearer has a soft-magnetic housing (10) with an electrical connection contacts (12, 13) at an external wall, and an electro-acoustic transducer (14) e.g. loudspeaker, arranged in the housing and controllable by the connection contacts from the outside of the hearer. A shielding plate (15) and an induction coil are attached in the housing for magnetically shielding between the external wall with the connection contacts and the electro-acoustic transducer. The induction coil is arranged transverse to a magnetic axle of the electro-acoustic transducer. An independent claim is also included for a hearing aid with a telemetry mechanism for electromagnetic communication with external equipment.
