Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2006136322A2] The invention relates to an arrangement for electronically carrying out board, role-play or card games, by means of data transmission from and to a games console and RFID elements for reading out and/or changing data representing the game status or game progress and data characterising the player properties. According to the invention, a game board comprises defined game fields which serve to accommodate data supports, such as playing cards, the information from which may be read out by the embedding of an antenna coil device in the game board, designed for reading out from a number of game fields form a given position in the vicinity of a game field group. At least one RFID element in a housing with an autonomous power supply and a transceiver unit for data transmission to the games console and with optical and acoustic display elements is provided, said RFID element coming into data exchange connection with a coupling coil region of the antenna coil device in the game board by laying or placing the same in the region such that the game card data support of each game field group may be read and, optionally, changed whereupon furthermore a display element signals the reading of the game card data supports.
