[origin: EP1905574A1] The device (10) has a prefabricated foil semi tube made of plastic that is partially opened at an edge side and provided on a roll. The air is blown into the foil semi tube by a gas filling device (16) and directed to a welding tool (18) by the gas filling device, where the welding tool welds the edge sided opening of the foil semi tube for formation of closed filling body. A drive device (12) i.e. roll, is designed such that the drive device exerts a traction power on the foil semi tube related to the transportation direction behind the gas filling device. An independent claim is also included for a method for the production of gas-filled filling materials.
