Lid for covering the top side of a stack of a plurality of substantially rectangular metal sheets positioned on a support platform, the lid comprising a substantially rectangular main portion of substantially the same length and width as the stack, a first and a second longer side and a first and second shorter side foldably connected to the main portion along the edges of the main portion, the sides of the lid extending downwardly for covering the top surface of the stack and at least partly covering the sides of the stack, wherein the lid is made from a single piece of folded polymer sheet material.
