The machine has lower and upper fluted rollers (2, 3) for producing corrugations (44) in a paper web (43). A glue application device (13) applies a glue (49) to tips (45) of the corrugations. A pressing device (16) presses a lined web (46) against the tips, and includes an endless pressing belt guided over a deflection roller (17) and a cylindrical tension roller (18), where the tension roller is formed from a core and an outer jacket. The core and the outer jacket are separated from each other toward outer ends of the jacket and the core by an annular space.

Eine Maschine zur Herstellung einer mindestens einseitig kaschierten Wellpappebahn weist eine Anpress-Einrichtung auf, die zur Führung eines Anpressbandes eine Spannwalze (18) aufweist. Die Spannwalze (18) ist aus einem Kern (32) und einem diesen umgebenden Außenmantel (33) gebildet. Der Kern (32) und der Außenmantel (33) sind nur im Bereich ihrer Längsmitte miteinander verbunden und sind zu ihren äußeren Enden hin jeweils durch einen Ringraum (35, 35') voneinander getrennt.
