Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1905899A2] The board (16) has a base, a slide plate whose underside contacts the road surface to be laid and at least one tamper (22) leading the slide plate with a tamping strip (23) that can be moved up and down with an adjustable stroke. The tamping strip has essentially the same relative position to the base of the board or slide plate in its bottom dead center position irrespective of the adjusted stroke.
