[origin: DE102006031606A1] The exchanger has a base (3) for accommodating a flow channel (21), where a medium flows into the flow channel. The base and the flow channel are connected with each other on a connection depth (t) of the base in a material connection manner, where the connecting depth is smaller than a depth (T) of the base. The base exhibits tapering devices (36, 37) for tapering the base depth within a region of the connection of the base and the flow channel. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a heat exchanger.
