[origin: WO2007004034A1] Disclosed is a ski, particularly a touring ski or cross-country ski (10), comprising a strip (13) that can be affixed to the ski sole (11), especially in the central area thereof, and is made of natural or synthetic skin or a similar material effective as a kick-enhancing device or climbing aid. At least the forward end (14) of the strip (13) made of skin or similar encompasses a relatively stiff transition (15) between the ski sole (11) and the skin (13).
